the economy!
Cultural activities attract tourists
and spur the creation of ancillary
facilities such as restaurants,
bed and breakfasts, and the
services needed to support them.
Cultural facilities and events enhance property value, tax resources,
and overall profitability for communities. In doing so, the arts
become a direct contributor to urban and rural revitalization.
The Tryon Fine Arts Center annual marketing reaches an estimated
100,000 people within a 50 mile radius of Tryon.
Nearly 5000 ticket holders enjoy performances in the Tryon Fine
Arts Center each season, of which 15% travel from surrounding
counties. The majority of tickets holders are homeowners with
expendable incomes.
